Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. We are designing, manufacturing, and operating an all-electric aircraft that can carry four passengers while producing minimal noise.

This internship is part of a 10‑week full‑time summer internship program. The role will be based at Archer’s headquarters in San Jose, California and relocation or housing will not be provided.
What You’ll Do:- Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure materials and processes meet performance and regulatory requirements
- Support various process development and material qualification programs, including writing test plans and generating test databases
- Conduct mechanical testing on CFRP, adhesives, metals, and bonded joints
- Perform bonding and composite panel preparation for small‑scale testing
- Record results, document best practices, and write reports as needed
- Proficiency in CAD tools is desirable but not required
- Going into the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year in college
- Familiarity with composite manufacturing, adhesive bonding, and epoxy resin systems
- Familiarity with mechanical and analytical testing equipment and methodologies
- Strong curiosity of FAA qualification requirements under 14 CFR Part 23.2260
- Self‑motivated and driven to complete objectives
- Strong written, verbal, communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

Compensation:Base pay between $25.00 – $35.00 per hour.
