Broadcom is seeking a senior-level physical design engineer. In this highly visible role, you will contribute to Ser Des connectivity ASICs for highly integrated data center products.

• MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering with 6+ years of experience in Physical Design.
• Deep knowledge of industry standards in Physical Design, Physical-aware synthesis, Floor planning, CTS, and place and route.
• Experience in developing and implementing Power-grid and high-speed clock constraints and specifications.
• Good understanding of physical design verification methodologies to debug LVS/DRC issues at the chip and block level.
• Experience with CDC, static timing analysis methodologies, and relevant tools.
• Exposure to SDF-annotated simulations with a good understanding of parasitic delays.
• Understanding and experience in mixed-signal environments.
• Familiarity with Virtuoso, Caliber, and Redhawk (power analysis) tools.
• Good understanding of design tape-out processes to foundries and supply chain management for IC product development.
• Scripting experience with Perl, Python, Tcl, Shell, and automation of flows.

• Understanding of backend Cadence tools.
• Deep understanding of Signal Integrity and Power Integrity for high-speed designs.
• Proactive, collaborative, and innovative approach to technical development and project results.
• Excellent time, task management, and interpersonal skills.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range is $120,000 - $192,000.

This position is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and equity awards as per company plans.
