What Your Impact Is- Serve as a trusted advisor to Fortune 500 clients, providing onsite support and strategic guidance.
- Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and observations to ensure compliance and protect personnel.
- Help develop and implement innovative EHS programs in areas such as Hazard Communication, Injury Illness Prevention, Chemical Management, and Process Safety.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions.
- Build strong client relationships and deliver high‑quality solutions that exceed expectations.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related science (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills—clear, concise, and client‑focused.
- Willingness to travel to and be at client site(s) for up to 40 hours/week primarily within the Northern California San Fran Bay Area.
- Driver's license required: valid license and ability to operate a company vehicle due to frequent travel.

- Master’s degree in Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering, or related field.
- Expertise in California‑specific EHS regulations and best practices.
- Help develop and implement innovative safety programs to address a wide array of safety challenges, including audits, behavior‑based safety, biohazards, chemical or lab safety, data analysis, electrical safety, NFPA 70E, fire prevention, industrial hygiene, laser safety, lock‑out tag‑out (LOTO), machine guarding, process hazard assessments, robotics safety, and safety process improvement.
- Perform building hazardous materials inspections, oversight, and sampling.
- Support construction safety, industrial hygiene, and behavior‑based safety initiatives.
- Conduct audits, risk assessments, and industrial hygiene evaluations.
- Collect and analyze field data; prepare technical reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement EHS programs and strategies.
- Ensure quality standards and regulatory compliance across all deliverables.
For the Consultant, Environmental Health and Safety position, the anticipated annual base pay is $76,000 – $97,410 USD. Actual pay will depend on factors such as education, experience, skills, location, performance, and business needs. This role may be eligible for bonus pay (casual and fixed term/flex force employees are not bonus eligible).
We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including paid time off, parental leave, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, AD&D insurance, 401(k) or RRSP/DPSP, and other applicable benefits to eligible employees.
Bonuses, commissions, and other forms of additional compensation are not guaranteed and subject to the sole discretion of ERM and its policies and procedures.
