Project Manager – Electrical Construction (Mission Critical & Energy)

Samuel Knight Energy is the leading recruitment partner to electrical contractors across energy and critical infrastructure, supporting some of the most technically capable delivery organisations in the U.S. market. We are currently supporting the growth of a major electrical contracting business with a strong presence across mission-critical and complex infrastructure projects.

Our client operates at the sharp end of electrical construction, delivering projects across Mission Critical and Data Center environments, Hospitals, Airports, and Energy infrastructure, including utility-scale Solar, Substations, and associated high-voltage and medium-voltage works. Due to continued project wins and a growing forward order book, they are expanding their Santa Clara office with experienced, commercially minded Project Managers.

This is an office-based Project Manager position, responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of electrical construction projects. You will act as the central point of control between estimating, field operations, suppliers, subcontractors, and senior leadership, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on programme, and to commercial targets.

• Full ownership of project delivery from handover through close-out
• Commercial management including budgets, cost forecasting, change orders, and margin protection
• Programme planning and schedule management, working closely with site teams and superintendents
• Procurement of major equipment and materials, managing supplier relationships and lead times
• Management of subcontractors, including scopes, compliance, performance, and payment applications
• Coordination with engineering, QA/QC, safety, and client representatives
• Chairing project meetings, reporting progress, risks, and opportunities to senior management
• Ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and safety requirements

We are seeking Project Managers with experience in electrical construction within one or more of the following asset classes:

• Mission Critical / Data Centers
• Hospitals and Healthcare Facilities
• Airports or Transportation Infrastructure
• Utility-scale Energy projects (Solar, Substations, T&D, or similar)

An electrical background is strongly preferred, with experience managing complex scopes, multiple stakeholders, and fast-paced delivery environments.
