Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: San Jose, CA
Term: Contract
Responsibilities- Work with the Secure Pump Pay team to design, draft and document solutions for the petroleum industry.
- Apply strong three-dimensional problem-solving skills.
- Use Solid Works to design mechanically complex solutions.
- Create Bill of Materials (BOM) and installation guides.
- Work with outside suppliers to build and construct engineering prototypes.
- Work with the Supply Chain New Product Introduction (NPI) group to release to production.
- Agile BOM creation and modification.
- Design injection-mold plastics components.
- Design sheet metal components.
- EPDM usage with Solid Works.
- Experience working with outside professional services.
- Education:
BS or greater; 10+ years of hands-on mechanical engineering experience. - Solid Works: 5+ years of Solid Works experience, including versions 2013 or 2014.
