Planning Engineering Technician
Job Purpose
:
The Planning Technician supports engineering activities such as design, modification and manages activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production.
- Must know how to plan high technology jobs, sequential, filed via ATE, etc. with tight features by suppressing the copper using Easy Etch process using InPlan applications to create production travelers for a printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturing plan
- Must understand all IPC 6012 Class 2, Class 3, and Class 3 with Space Addendum and Military Specs
- Provide support to newly hire Planners
- Knows how to process repeat order/jobs, DUPE jobs and New jobs per Sanmina procedures/rules
- Able to communicate with EAG for operations that need to be added or deleted to streamline the process
- Must be able to update Customer Summaries
- Plan jobs, complete controlled impedance stack-ups, instruct CAM operators on all tooling requirements, answer technical questions from other departments, and effectively communicate with customers
- Perform DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review on customer designs
- Perform spec-review and spec-summary on all customer documents and/or industry standards
- Preferred engineering degree or associate's degree in engineering with 6+ years equivalent design systems experience
- Experience in planning, product engineering, and tooling in a PCB manufacturing environment required
- Familiarity with standard manufacturing design rules, blueprints, customer specifications and industry standards such as IPC
- Experience using a CAD/CAM system is helpful
- Good written and verbal customer communication skills
This is an ITAR facility and applicant must be a US Citizen or a lawful permanent resident.
Salary Range (annual): $82,087.91 - $86,465.60

Actual base pay within this range (determined at the offer stage) will be based on a candidate’s years of relevant work experience, education, certifications, and skills, and is just one element of our total rewards package.
