Overview
This Full-Time (On-Site) position in San Jose, CA is with a Water Utility/Water Treatment & Distribution Company. Full benefits, PTO, and paid holidays are inclusive to this position.
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Number of Available Positions: 4
Salary Target: $125K-$170K/YR (Salary is flexible based on the relevant years of professional experience and background related to the position)
Contract Term:
12 Months to Start
; the project can span to 3-6 years in total.

- This Project is supporting the Company’s Capital Planning Team
- Requirements
: US Citizenship or Green Card Work Authorization Status;
Completed Bachelor’s Degree; EIT License (Strongly Preferred);
Ability to pass a drug screening & background check; 2+ years of relevant professional experience including working in an engineering capacity with water systems planning, design, construction, cost estimating, water systems modeling & operations, GIS & Hydraulic Modeling, water treatment plants design/operations/maintenance, urban water systems. - Responsibilities
:- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience;
Master’s or Ph.D. degree preferred. - Two years of experience in water system planning, design, construction, and cost estimating is highly desirable.
- California Professional Engineer registration is preferred and EIT registration is strongly preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to write clear project justifications, procedures, and detailed instructions.
- Ability to communicate with others and maintain effective working relationships, using technical and non-technical language.
- Knowledge of capital project planning and budgeting is preferred.
- Knowledge of water systems modeling, design, engineering, and operations is preferred.
- Knowledge of Asset Management principles is preferred.
- Knowledge of PUC/GRC rules, regulations, and rate case filings is highly preferred.
- Strong project management skills; knowledge of scheduling, prioritization, and coordination; PMI principles preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Ability to make technical decisions and provide technical assistance when needed.
- Ability to estimate project costs to develop high-level budgets.
- Experience with GIS and hydraulic modeling is highly preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Public presentation and speaking skills.
- Negotiation experience preferred.
- Experience with utilities cost estimates and basis of estimate is highly preferred.
- Experience with WQ regulations and water treatment plant design, operation, and maintenance is highly preferred.
- Experience with electrical equipment used in urban water systems is highly preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field and/or equivalent relevant experience;
