Overview

One of our partner company is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems and components for our products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, manufacturing, and product management to ensure designs meet performance, cost, and manufacturability requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., Solid Works, Creo, CATIA).
  • Perform engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA, thermal, tolerance stack-ups).
  • Create detailed engineering drawings, BOMs, and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with electrical and firmware teams to ensure mechanical-electrical integration.
  • Participate in design reviews, prototyping, testing, and validation of mechanical designs.
  • Support manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA).
  • Investigate and resolve design-related issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company quality systems.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering (entry-level candidates will be considered for junior roles).
  • Proficiency in 3D CAD tools such as Solid Works, Creo, or similar.
  • Experience with mechanical analysis tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and GD&T.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in product development from concept to production.
  • Background in consumer electronics, robotics, automotive, or aerospace industries.
  • Knowledge of thermal management and enclosure design.
  • Familiarity with ISO, ASME, or similar standards.
