WSP is currently initiating a search for an enthusiastic and motivated Early Career Civil Engineer. The role is open to the offices listed above. Candidates will provide local technical assistance for the design, development, and construction of infrastructure projects and systems in the public and private sector, including roads, buildings, tunnels, dams, bridges, water supply systems, and sewage treatment. Responsibilities include providing accurate and concise documentation and ensuring adherence to industry standards for design, safety, and functionality.

• Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, surveys, GIS data, and other matrices.
• Perform basic civil engineering work related to research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions.
• Provide entry‑level technical assistance on design requirements and operating strategies.
• Assist with verifying site characteristics and offering technical advice on engineering, design, and construction issues.
• Generate complete, accurate documentation using electronic systems, drawings, and field logs.
• Comply with safety guidelines and site‑specific procedures.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible decision‑making with respect to company resources and conduct.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 0 to 1 year of relevant post‑education experience.
• Excellent research skills and an analytical mindset.
• Familiarity with design processes and the built environment.
• Knowledge of civil construction laws, codes, and compliance practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self‑leadership, attention to detail, multitasking, and prioritization.
• Ability to work independently under general supervision and as part of a team.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office automation, and engineering software.
• Track record of workplace safety and adherence to WSP’s health, safety, and harassment policies.
• Flexibility to work schedules beyond the typical workweek.
• Occasional travel may be required.

• Engineer in Training Certification or plans to obtain one.
• Experience with discipline‑specific software (Micro Station, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, InRoads, Geopak, Geo Slope, ANSYS, STADD, HEC‑RAS, HEC‑HMS).
• Internship experience related to civil engineering (not required).
• Membership or active participation in professional or student organizations.

Expected Salary: $58,200 – $96,030. WSP reserves the right to adjust compensation based on experience, education, and geography.
