Job Description
We are seeking a Design Manager to oversee semiconductor manufacturing or advanced manufacturing projects. The role is based in the United States with remote flexibility and may involve hybrid work if located near a regional office.
- Lead the semiconductor manufacturing facility design team to deliver high‑quality projects on schedule.
- Manage project resources, including onboarding and off‑boarding staff.
- Coordinate delivery teams consisting of semiconductor SMEs and local engineers.
- Host and attend meetings with clients and stakeholders.
- Identify problems early and develop creative solutions.
- Foster a collaborative team culture.
- Proactively manage and communicate change.
- Conduct peer reviews and quality checks in line with client and AECOM standards.
- Provide project updates and resolve outstanding issues.
- Develop technical and financial proposals.
- Build trusting relationships with clients.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
- Ten (10) years of relevant experience or education equivalency, including two (2) years of leadership experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Architecture License.
- Ten years of design and/or project management experience.
- Five years of semiconductor design experience.
- Strong situational awareness, emotional intelligence, and interpersonal judgment.
- Excellent written and oral communication.
- Ability to work in dynamic, time‑sensitive situations with minimal oversight.
- Team leadership and presentation skills.
Additional Information
Compensation range: $185,000 to $240,000 annually, adjusted for education, experience, and location. Work model:
Remote.
