What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Conduct advanced risk assessments of power generation machinery and fire protection equipment
  • Provide consultative services to clients, identifying exposures and investigating major losses
  • Deliver training for Risk Engineering and Underwriting staff on power generation topics
  • Manage account risk portfolios and ensure compliance with underwriting requirements
  • Develop and implement customer service strategies to enhance operations and reduce losses
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of experience in Power Generation Risk Engineering, or High School Diploma with 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience working in a team environment
  • Knowledge of exposures, controls, and best practices in risk improvement
  • For Risk Engineering Specialist:
    Bachelor’s Degree and 8+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or High School Diploma with 10+ years of experience
  • Zurich Certified Apprentice, including an Associate's degree, may substitute for experience
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • 10+ years of experience in Risk Engineering or power generation operations and maintenance
  • Military experience in propulsion plants and power generation equipment
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Certification in Risk Engineering Power Generation Machinery Breakdown assessments
  • Advanced knowledge within the energy industry segment
