About The Role: TEKsystems is seeking an experienced AV Field Engineer / Service Technician to support a leading AV integration company with a national footprint. This position is ideal for a technically skilled AV professional who is comfortable with networking and eager to advance into programming and complex system configuration. You will provide on-site service and support for enterprise‑grade audiovisual systems at corporate client locations, ensuring optimal performance in executive boardrooms, conference centers, and other high‑end environments.

- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair AV systems and components at client sites.
- Service and maintain:
- Custom control systems (Crestron DM/NVX, AMX)
- Audio DSP platforms (Biamp, QSC, Dante Audio)
- Complex AV systems in executive boardrooms and conference centers
- Video teleconferencing systems
- AV‑over‑IP networks (LAN/WAN/internet for AV data)
- Projection displays, video walls, and digital signage
- Audio systems including amplifiers, speakers, and microphones
- Conduct preventive maintenance testing and site surveys for service agreements.
- Prepare clear service reports and system site surveys.
- Manage multiple service projects and mentor junior/intermediate technicians.
- Ability to download, modify, and upload programming using:
- Crestron Toolbox for control systems
- Biamp and QSC platforms for audio DSPs
- Solid understanding of signal flow, AV networking fundamentals, and system integration.
- Skilled in troubleshooting AV systems on both software and networking sides (IP addressing, VLANs, Dante audio networking, control system connectivity).
- Clear communication with non‑technical stakeholders and executives.
- Ability to manage client expectations and maintain professionalism under pressure.
- Strong problem‑solving mindset and adaptability in dynamic environments.
- Customer service orientation—building trust and confidence with end users.
- Daily travel within the Silicon Valley area to support client sites.
- Candidates should expect to return home each night.
- A personal vehicle is required; travel‑related expenses will be covered.
- Two‑year diploma from a technical college or equivalent experience.
- CTS certification highly preferred, but equivalent experience accepted.
- Minimum 3 years of field service experience in AV systems.
