THE ROLEAMD Serdes Technology Group develops high‑performance electrical and optical transceivers in advanced CMOS PDKs. We are seeking an expert in analog/mixed‑signal design and architecture.
THE PERSONThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in advanced ultra‑high‑speed electrical and/or optical PHY design. She/He needs to be a self‑starter who collaborates well with various functional teams and customers to successfully drive projects to completion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Own macro top level (ADC, DAC, Tx/Rx analog, PLL, etc.) and define subblock specs: power, area, jitter budgets, and STA/DV collaterals.
- Define and implement circuit architectures of data converters (DAC, ADC), analog front‑end, and clocking circuits, optimized for ultra‑high‑speed electrical and optical transceivers.
- Conduct peer reviews of design and verification results.
- Work with validation team to bring up silicon and analyze silicon results.
- The successful candidate will have extensive design experience in both optical and electrical transceiver design.
- Expert level experience in data converters, especially in high‑speed ADC and/or DAC.
- Experience in advanced PDK design.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or related fields, or M.S. with relevant experience and extensive design experience in both optical and electrical transceiver design.
