Facilities Mechanical Engineer (31957)
As a facilities mechanical engineer, you will work on projects that enable the heart of our client’s semiconductor-based manufacturing. You and other team members will work closely with client owners in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In this role you will collaborate with on‑site personnel to support projects of varying size and complexity, including assessment of systems, consulting system owners, and analyzing scope requests from stakeholders.
Your job includes designing, developing, evaluating, and preparing recommendations with basis of design (BOD) and scope of work (SOW) documents. You will oversee engineering and construction for the facility mechanical systems work including HVAC, process cooling water, wastewater, general and acid/ammonia exhaust, fire protection, plumbing, process‑piping and equipment. The work will include retrofits of existing building systems, as well as new systems.
Pay Range
$ per year – $ per year (salary determined by skills and experience)
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
- At least 10 years of practical application of mechanical facilities design engineering (HVAC, hydronics, process piping, exhaust, plumbing, and related mechanical facilities systems)
- At least 5 years of design project delivery process experience
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in multidisciplinary teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and leadership experience
- Solid knowledge of ASME, ASME B31.3, building codes, fire codes, and related standards such as ASHRAE
- Solid knowledge of specifications and selection of all types of mechanical equipment and components
- Experience reviewing vendor submittal packages against client requirements and specifications
- Field experience interacting with subcontractors and construction personnel
- EIT or Professional Engineer (PE) licensure
- 5 years of experience as a facility engineer
- Working knowledge of design-related deliverables (P&IDs, PFDs, details, equipment plans, etc.)
- Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM

This is an on‑site position requiring work at the client site in Wilton, CT. Relocation available. SIGN‑ON BONUS!
Physical Requirements- Field visits and walks at an active client site, including walking long distances, standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, twisting, crawling, climbing ladders, working on catwalks, working in small spaces, and lifting/carrying up to 25 lbs.
