In this role, you’ll report to the Thermal Mechanical Engineering Manager and lead the design and development of innovative cooling solutions—including passive cold plate loops, manifolds, and modular components. You’ll collaborate across teams and with customers, guide prototype build and testing, support junior engineers, and drive new product introduction from concept through mass production.
What You’ll Do- Lead the thermal and mechanical design of passive cold plate loops, rack and chassis manifolds, and related components
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and customers to ensure seamless system integration
- Oversee prototype fabrication, testing, data collection, and design iteration
- Review and provide feedback on junior engineers’ mechanical and thermal designs
- Develop engineering documentation, reports, and technical presentations
- Use CAD, simulation tools, and engineering principles to support NPI from concept to production
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required;
Master’s, PhD, or PE/P.Eng designation preferred - 6+ years of thermal/mechanical engineering experience
- Strong understanding of heat transfer and fluid dynamics
- High proficiency with CAD and simulation tools (Solid Works, Celsius EC, etc.)
- Proven experience designing components for mass production using GD&T, tolerance analysis, DFM/DFA, and FMEA
This is primarily a work‑from‑home opportunity with limited travel for candidates outside the Santa Clara, CA area.
