The weather team works cross‑functionally to develop technologies that ensure safe autonomous driving in all weather conditions. We're seeking skilled data scientists to help us overcome the challenges of adverse weather.

• San Jose, California, US (Salary Range: $75k—$300k USD)
• Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain
• Dubai, UAE

• Develop perception features to recognize road weather conditions, quantify weather impact on sensing, and identify sensing degradation.
• Collaborate across teams to adapt sensor fusion techniques, integrate sensor cleaning system, and implement mitigation strategy to enhance autonomous driving reliability under reduced visibility.
• Develop data mining, labeling, training and evaluation pipelines for model adaption in adverse weather conditions.
• Conduct tests and simulations in various weather conditions to evaluate system performance and mitigation strategy.

• Master’s or PhD in machine learning, computer science, robotics, or a related field.
• Experience with computer vision and deep learning.
• Understanding of various effects of weather on sensor data.
• Excellent communication, strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.

• Experience with autonomous vehicle technology or robotics.
• Experience with machine learning and AI foundation models.
• Experience with Python/C++.
