Test Technician (Teradyne / Nextest, San Jose, CA)
We are recruiting for a Test Technician within our New Product Introduction Group (NPI-Pilot Line team), Teradyne Memory Business Unit to join our team in San Jose, CA. This role is on site in our San Jose, CA office 5x week.
- Responsible for conducting tests and evaluations on products (Tester and PCBA) to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct testing including stress tests, performance evaluations, and quality assurance checks to evaluate the functionality, reliability, and durability of Nextest products.
- Document results by recording and interpreting data, providing detailed information to engineers and stakeholders to inform product development and improvements.
- Maintain equipment by performing regular cleaning, calibration, debugging, and repairs to ensure accurate testing results.
All About You
- Able to troubleshoot equipment tools such as Oscilloscopes and meters.
- Able to identify product and equipment failures.
- Basic understanding of using measurement test equipment (meter, scope, etc.).
- General knowledge of company products and operating principles is a plus.
- Must be able to be on site 5 days a week, between 7am-5pm.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PDF, etc.).
- 2+ years of related experience desired.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Must be able to communicate with cross‑functional personnel verbally and by email.
- Can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Able to work overtime.
- We are only considering candidates local to the position location and are unable to provide relocation; this position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $54,800 - $87,700. This range is a good faith estimate and will vary by experience and skill set, and may fluctuate based on demand and location.
Incentive Plan:
This job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
