The Harker School seeks a Tennis Coach for the Middle School Athletic Program. The season begins March 9th, 2026 and runs through May 8th, 2026. Hours are Monday - Friday, 3:00pm - 6:30pm.

Expected Hourly Rate: $17.95 - $25.00

Coordinate and direct team and provide direction to student-athletes so they might achieve a high level of skill and an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship, and teamwork in their chosen sport.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with children preferred. Must be comfortable working with and around school-age children.
• First Aide/CPR certified
• 1 - 2 years coaching experience (preferred)

• Assumes the responsibility for effectively managing groups of students
• Maintains accurate attendance
• Organizes practice plans and game plans
• Communicates effectively with AD, other staff, students, and parents
• Stays informed regarding weekly sports emails, updated developments, and changes
• Completes miscellaneous tasks and duties as requested

• Attends coach's meetings and mandatory seasonal parent meetings
• Ensures students are participating in a fair and sportsmanlike manner
• Ensures the safety and decorum of students while traveling to away games
• Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned

• Coaching students (Ages 9 to 13)
• Experience in or having a background in the sport interested in coaching

• It may be subject to extended periods of standing or walking.
• The majority of time may be spent outside, resulting in exposure to extremes in either heat or cold as weather and temperatures vary.
