Role: Resource Specialist (RSP)
Amergis is seeking a dedicated Mild to Moderate Special Education Teacher to serve in a Resource Specialist Program (RSP) role within Newhall Unified School District in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a full-time, ASAP-start opportunity supporting students with mild to moderate learning needs in an engaging and supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide specialized academic instruction and intervention to students with IEPs in a Resource Specialist setting.
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Collaborate closely with general education teachers, program specialists, administrators, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, progress reports, and compliance records.
- Support inclusion practices and help integrate students into general education settings.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding progress, goals, and accommodations.
- Utilize data-driven strategies to support academic and behavioral success.
- Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate Support Needs or equivalent).
- Previous experience in a resource or mild/moderate special education role preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education law, compliance, IEP development, and MTSS/RTI frameworks.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and time-management skills.
- Full-time, onsite position.
- ASAP start date.
