Role Summary

The Vice President of Academics provides senior leadership over academic quality, curriculum effectiveness, innovation, new program development, and institutional compliance. This role is suited for a leader who can strengthen academic systems, support instructional excellence, and guide the institution through continued growth and increasing complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and continuously strengthen curriculum quality and academic outcomes across programs.
  • Analyze student engagement and performance data and implement targeted improvements.
  • Lead development and launch of new academic programs, initially in IT and later in healthcare.
  • Drive innovation in teaching and learning, including adoption of AI and educational technologies.
  • Design and lead faculty performance frameworks, training initiatives, and evaluation processes.
  • Oversee institutional compliance, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards, federal and state regulations, and internal policies.
  • Partner on accreditation activities, audits, regulatory reviews, and institutional reporting.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs that support academic quality, operational discipline, and compliance readiness.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum Master’s degree required in IT, Business, Education, or a related field.
  • Doctorate preferred.
  • Minimum of8–10 years of senior leadership experience in U.S. higher education.
  • Demonstrated responsibility for curriculum leadership, program development, and compliance oversight.
  • Strong background in IT or business education.
  • Experience overseeing undergrad and master’s-level programs at an appropriately accredited institution.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience operating in institutions undergoing growth, change, or increased regulatory complexity.
  • Direct involvement in accreditation, regulatory reviews, and institutional audits.
  • Demonstrated success improving student outcomes such as engagement, retention, or placement.

  • Execution-focused with the ability to introduce structure and clarity.
  • Clear, professional communication style.
First 6-Month Objectives
  • Assess academic, operational, and compliance gaps and implement data-backed improvements.
