AB Staffing is seeking experienced Special Education Teachers for the 2025/2026 school year.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field from an accredited college or university
• Valid Special Education Teaching Certificate/License in California
• Proficiency in subject area; experience with case management, paperwork, compliance, and IEPs
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal special education regulations and policies
• At least one year of teaching experience with students with disabilities, including behavior disorders and cognitive delays (preferred)
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, stand or sit for extended periods, and lift up to 25 pounds regularly and 40 pounds occasionally

Job Description:

Caseload and classroom type will vary based on location. Recruitment specialists will discuss details upon application to match you with a suitable classroom. The position is contracted through the 2025/2026 school year, with a 37.5 to 40-hour workweek aligned with the academic calendar.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing engaging lesson plans and programs tailored to student needs
• Adapting curriculum based on IEPs and learning styles
• Maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress
• Creating a safe, organized, and positive learning environment
• Implementing behavior management strategies
• Providing individualized and group instruction with specialized techniques
• Assessing and tracking student progress, modifying instruction as needed
• Ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining documentation
• Collaborating with educators and specialists
• Engaging in ongoing professional development

Salary:

$2,240.00 – $2,480.00/week
