The East Side Union High School District (ESUHSD) seeks a skilled and passionate vocal music coach to support in‑class instruction during the regular school day. Throughout the school year, the coach will work alongside a credentialed teacher at District high schools, supporting beginning, intermediate, and advanced vocal music students. This role includes preparation and instruction designed to increase student mastery and contribute to high‑quality music education for a diverse student body.
Coaches may be assigned to multiple sections and/or multiple sites.
- Experience in voice and vocal pedagogy as well as rehearsal planning and implementation.
- Experience teaching high school‑aged students.
- Experience teaching small‑group and one‑on‑one instruction.
- Must complete the Edjoin online application, and submit Resume and Letters of Recommendation/Reference. Selected candidates must pass fingerprint clearance and provide current TB test results prior to employment.

- Collaborate with the choral director to align with the overall goals of the choral program.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group instruction designed to enhance students’ technical proficiency.
- Provide one‑on‑one and small‑group instruction designed to enhance students’ musical expression.
- Foster student creativity, discipline, and teamwork in a culturally responsive and inclusive environment.
- Serve as a teacher of choral classes.
- May need to teach at multiple sites to meet the base assignment requirement.
