AboutThis Role
This part‑time position is designed for college students and entry‑level professionals passionate about education and eager to grow into future leaders in the industry. The successful candidate will work alongside our Silicon Valley teaching team while focusing also on operational aspects of our business, including marketing and business growth. The role provides resources to become a great math educator and deliver world‑class teaching services to PreK‑6th graders, while also preparing for future roles such as branch directors or department managers.
Applicants from all backgrounds are welcome; no prior teaching experience is required.
Job Responsibilities- Teach engaging English‑language lessons in elementary mathematics using Think Academy curriculum (PreK‑G6, in‑person).
- Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment for about 8‑16 students.
- Identify and address individual learning needs, providing personalized assistance.
- Grade homework and provide related teaching services.
- Maintain open communication with parents/guardians; conduct parent‑teacher conferences and hold office hours for one‑on‑one help.
- Foster a safe and respectful learning atmosphere for all students.
- Develop tailored mathematical learning plans based on students’ current abilities and goals; facilitate enrollment in short‑term or long‑term courses.
- Support daily business operations, including marketing and growth in the Bay Area.
- Open to all majors; training and professional growth provided.
- Strong knowledge of math concepts and problem‑solving techniques.
- Prior math teaching or general teaching experience highly preferred.
- Passion for teaching and education with a mission to promote social development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with technology for instructional purposes.
- Commitment to at least one whole semester of teaching without interruption.
- Responsible, reliable, team player.
- Patient, empathetic, and motivated to inspire students.
- Available to work weekday late afternoon and weekends.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to commute to one of our San Jose or Cupertino campuses.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin highly preferred.
- $40/hour teaching fee + $20/hour administrative fee + potential teaching commission.
