We are looking for a Vocational Nursing Instructor to join our team on evenings and weekends. The candidate must be available to work 12-hour shifts on Saturdays for clinicals. This position is based in San Jose, CA.

• Teach courses at a variety of times and locations in response to program needs
• Teach both lecture content and clinical rotations (clinical rotations may occur days, evenings, on weekdays and/or weekends)
• Demonstrate or acquire skills for utilizing online activities to enhance course content/material during interactive teaching and learning
• Review and revise syllabus for specific courses within the program and instructional guidelines
• Submit required program reports and forms to the Director of the program in a timely manner
• Maintain student records of attendance, grades, and skills check-off forms; assist with program data collection by set due dates
• Update and maintain student files related to clinical requirements, immunizations, and educational requirements
• Participate in professional development; maintain CE hours to ensure licensure renewal; stay current with college updates
• Actively participate in committees as assigned, prioritizing teaching responsibilities

• Make continuous efforts to improve quality of instruction by reviewing and utilizing different and innovative teaching methodologies
• Demonstrate or be willing to acquire skills for utilizing online activities as enhancers to course content/material
• Assist with reviewing and revising of syllabus for specific course within the program
• Submit required program reports and forms to Director of the program in a timely manner
• Keep current with new technologies and safety regulations
• Maintain student records and assist with program data collection
• Ability to teach8 a variety of times and locations as needed
• Uphold professional standards and contribute to a positive learning environment
