Job Description SummaryHoly Family School is looking for a lunch and extended care supervisor aide for the school year. The times are from 10:45am‑1:45pm; 3:00pm‑4:00pm M,T,Th,F and 12:30pm‑4:00pm on W and minimum days. We are looking for an organized, compassionate, and consistent person who is able to handle managing students from ages TK‑8. This job will be starting in December of 2025.
Under the direct supervision of the Principal, the Student Supervision Aide provides supervision of students in the cafeteria, on the playground, or on school buses; and to do related work as required. S/he also provides supervision to children during drop off, pick up, morning recess, and/or lunch period(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Supervise children grades TK/K – 8 in the cafeteria and/or on the playground, as assigned.
- Accept responsibility for the safety and well‑being of each child under their supervision.
- Maintain discipline and order in accordance with school operations, rules, procedures and by exhibiting judgment and tact with minimal supervision.
- Ensure that students do not leave school grounds without permission.
- Make sure no unauthorized persons are on school grounds.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and maintain a patient and receptive attitude towards students of varied age groups.
- Excellent organizational and human relations skills.
- Self‑motivated and reliable.
- Able to establish and maintain positive, effective working relationships with principal, parents, staff, and the general public.
- Able to manage moderate levels of stress.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus (internal and external).
- Ethical and discreet team player.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Act as a role model of professionalism in a Catholic environment.
- Support the philosophy, policies, and goals of the school, as well as the decisions made by the Principal and Administrators.
- Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all students.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the parent/student handbook and employee handbook.
- Work as part of a team.
- Attend faculty, administrative, and all other meetings as needed.

Education and/or Experience- High school diploma or GED.
- Prior experience supervising children.
- Sufficient training to perform tasks assigned by the Principal.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to effectively communicate with all stakeholders of the school.
- English, required.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese) preferred.
- Proficient at word processing, presentation, and electronic mail applications.
- Experience with school information systems (SIS).
- Working knowledge of Workday, or willingness to learn.
- Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google applications.
- Sitting, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, repetitive motion, bending, stooping, crouching, climbing, stretching, twisting.
- Can lift 25 lbs. in compliance with safety standards.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Handles exposure to climate change and temperature.
- Can operate standard office equipment such as copiers, fax machines, personal computer, telephone, and alarm system.
- Level of vision, hearing, speaking required.
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Able to work evenings and weekends, if required.
- Must have an understanding and acceptance for the mission of the Catholic Church.
- Must support the teachings and values of the Catholic Church and its mission.
