Primrose School of Willowglen located at 1496 Hamilton Ave, San Jose, CA 95125, is seeking a full-time Early Preschool (2 to 3-year-olds) teacher. The children in these classrooms are ages 3 to 4 years, with a teacher-child ratio of 1:8.

IMMEDIATE OPENING!

• MUST BE FULLY VACCINATED
• 12 core unit classes with a grade of C or better are required (child development, child-family-community, curriculum)
• Work experience in a licensed childcare facility as a teacher
• Pleasant/friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality
• Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22), including immunization, health screening, fingerprinting, and background check
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and emergencies

• Supervise and manage daily classroom functions
• Assess each child's developmental needs regularly
• Create an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making
• Keep classroom bulletin boards current and communicate with parents about classroom activities
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of classroom, common areas, and playgrounds
• Assist with snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities
• Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as required
• Follow health, safety, and care regulations for children
• Maintain professional appearance and behavior
• Implement lesson plans using the Primrose curriculum
• Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with the Director
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Use iPad to log children's activities, incident reports, and messages to parents
