Content Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for both managing our brand's social media presence and creating engaging content for our platforms. You will play a critical role in refining and pushing our brand message, including but not limited to Linked In, Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, and our Website. You'll be entrusted with the weekly management of these platforms, generating engaging and audience-centric content, and effectively communicating our vision and culture.

You'll collaborate closely with our in-house teams to craft innovative content and strategize its distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage our social media strategy to align with organizational goals.
• Create a detailed editorial calendar for content posting across platforms.
• Write engaging, shareable content accompanied by on-brand visuals.
• Work closely with our staff to generate innovative content ideas and ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice. Manage media messages, inquiries, and comments.
• Review analytics and create monthly reports on key metrics.
• Curate content from our activities and events, including audio/video content (keynotes, interviews, podcasts) into snackable clips.
• Post 1-2 times a week across platforms through Buffer (or direct posting) on Linked In, Facebook, You Tube, and Instagram (stories also).

• Experience with managing social media accounts
• Provide links to captions and content you've led or created
• Experience with creating social media content
• Link to social media channels you've built
• Experience writing strong, succinct, and grammatically correct copy
• Extremely organized with great attention to detail
• Strong organizational skills
• Legally able to work in the United States
• Ability to work with people from diverse racial, cultural, and socioeconomic backgrounds

Stipend position starting at $25 per hour, depending on experience.

B.O.O.K (Building Our Own Kids) Academy is a free community service provided through the Maranatha Outreach Center in San Jose, CA. B.O.O.K offers a positive, safe, and quiet environment for students in grades K-12 to excel academically. The program includes homework assistance, tutoring, skill-building activities, and access to computers. A mental wellness component is also available.
