Synaptics is looking for an Event Specialist to join their growing team. In this role, you will be orchestrating impactful business-to-business events. Your role involves planning, executing, and managing events that are focused on engaging customers, partners, investors, and trade and business media. This position reports to the VP, Corporate Marketing.
The typical base pay range for this position is USD $73,000 - $115,500 per year. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus, equity, and other benefits. Note that compensation listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
Responsibilities& Competencies
Job Duties
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business objectives and needs
- Assist in developing creative event concepts tailored to B2B audiences – customers, partners, investors, and the media
- Support business stakeholders and technical subject matter experts to define and implement compelling, interactive demos that clearly articulate our product/solution expertise
- Share industry best practices and examples of best-in-class demos and technology showcases to help internal stakeholders create memorable demos
- Support in scouting and evaluating suitable conferences, seminars, product launches, and networking events to complement the company’s growth strategy and target markets
- Partner with the Sr. Event Specialist in coordinating logistics, including demo planning with the business groups, reviewing and finalizing contracts, booth build out, meeting room/hotel reservations, shipping, catering, giveaways, customer meeting schedules, etc.
- Assist in creating and managing event budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and responsible spending
- Partner with the Sr. Event Specialist and cross-functional teams to create compelling event collateral and messaging
- Assist in promoting events through targeted channels, including email campaigns and social media, and executive communication for internal leaders
- Support in liaising with catering services, AV technicians, decorators, and other vendors to ensure seamless execution of services during events
- Facilitate networking opportunities among attendees and Synaptics team members
- Analyze event success metrics, gather feedback, and identify areas for improvement with the focus on establishing and defining ROI

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in event management, marketing, or related field or equivalent
- 2+ years in B2B event planning
- Experience with event management software/tools and familiarity with virtual event platforms a plus
- Some experience supporting the tailoring of events to diverse audience groups
- Travel to domestic and international trade shows at least 6 times per year
