MEP Engineer Intern
Reports to:
MEP Manager
Summary of Position:
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) team with estimating, plan review, bidding & buyout, and commissioning.
- MEP Plan Review
- Estimate Takeoffs
- Create MEP scope statements
- Jobsite QA/QC for MEP installs
- Work with the commissioning authority to assist with the commissioning process
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
- Interest in learning about construction, & Mechanical, Electrical, & Plumbing systems
- Solid computer skills, especially the Microsoft Office Suite, scheduling software (MS Project, P6, or Suretrak), and exposure to project management software (CMiC or similar program)
- Proactive, takes initiative on all projects, possesses a willingness to learn and develop in their professional career
- Problem solver, solutions-oriented
Position Status:
Summer intern, regular business hours (40 hours a week), non-exempt
Compensation: $20-$28 per hour DOE
