Overview

Position Title: 534118-Semiconductor Buyer

Location: San Jose, CA

Pay Rate: $35-$45

Contract Duration: 6 months contract

Requirements to Start: Clear Background, Drug Test, and Education Check. Must be authorized to work in the US for any employer without Sponsorship. Principal Only! No Corp to Corp.

Note: This position may require travel within the US and outside the US.

• Source technology solutions with application in Semiconductor Manufacturing technology, including raw materials, equipment, and new processing methods.
• Manage supplier candidate pool and assist in negotiations, purchase cost projection, and capacity assurance for materials.
• Coordinate business and technical discussions with HQ Procurement Team and R&D Engineers to determine feasibility of suppliers.
• If a technology solution is selected, arbitrate business collaboration contracts with potential suppliers to obtain the best value and conditions.
• Examine market trends in semiconductor manufacturing and fulfill technology solution requests for specific engineering projects from HQ.
• Conduct in‑depth analyses of semiconductor manufacturing technology (trends, new technology updates, etc.).
• Develop a supplier pool for raw materials and analyze potential suppliers (financial/technological).
• Conduct procurement activities including negotiating price and contract terms, issuing purchase orders, and securing delivery of goods.
• Negotiate contracts/prices to create value for both companies and analyze true purchasing costs.
• Maintain final selection documents, quotations, investment reports, and other documents pertaining to purchase orders.
• Provide support for IPC negotiations and planning; promote use of internal information for purchasing team innovation.
• Develop a supplier scorecard matrix and perform analysis.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement, Economics, Statistics, or Finance.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or Finance.
• Travel may be required within the US and outside the US.
• Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
• Proficiency with software/systems: ERP, Excel (including financial functions), databases or statistical packages, internet, order processing, project management, spreadsheets, and word processing.
