Service Coordinator (Alarm) – Summit Fire & Security
Job SummaryThe Service Coordinator maintains the office management activities for the Service department, ensuring profitable scheduling and courteous phone handling to satisfy customers.
EssentialJob Duties
- Schedule service calls with customers.
- Coordinate necessary equipment and materials.
- Arrange emergency service appointments.
- Create technician schedules.
- Schedule subcontractors and lifts as required.
- Review and upload reports with the Service Operations Manager for customer access.
- Communicate system impairments and service requests to the appropriate Manager.
- Assist with administrative phone duties.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High‑school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
- 1 year of scheduling facility services experience preferred.
- 1 year of professional computer skills.
- Efficient time‑management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Demonstrated critical‑thinking ability.
- Team collaboration and ability to work with all employee levels.
- Strong diligence and accuracy.
- Proficient reading, writing, and spoken English for communication with employees and customers.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Able to operate a computer and use Microsoft Office.
- Sales Force experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Compliance with Summit Fire & Security’s Drug and Alcohol policy and background screening requirements.
- Up to 10% travel.
Work Environment Requirements
Employees will sit for long periods and occasionally bend, kneel, balance, lift up to 20 lb, walk, stand, ascend/descend stairs, drive, twist, and reach above and below shoulders. Driving and walking for periods are frequent. Work is performed indoors in an office setting, occasionally outdoors, with exposure to temperature variations, dust, fumes, chemicals, electrical hazards, and noise. Personal protective equipment may be required when visiting job sites.
