StaffAccountant
We are seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to support month‑end close with a strong emphasis on balance sheet reconciliations, particularly cash, fixed assets, equipment leases, and accruals. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of accounting experience who wants to deepen technical accounting skills while gaining exposure to a growing, operationally complex organization. This position reports directly to the Controller and works closely with Finance leadership and operations partners to ensure accurate financial reporting and strong accounting controls.
WhatYou’ll Do Month‑End Close & Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Prepare and reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts monthly
- Investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely manner
- Prepare journal entries and support the monthly close process
- Maintain fixed asset subledger, including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
- Track capital expenditures and ensure proper capitalization versus expense treatment
- Support accounting for equipment leases, including
- Lease setup and amortization
- Reconciliation of lease liabilities and right‑of‑use (ROU) assets
- Coordination with lease schedules and supporting documentation
- Use Concur Invoice to support invoice workflow, coding accuracy, and accounting review
- Partner with Accounts Payable and Operations to ensure accurate coding, asset tracking, and documentation
- Maintain clean, well‑documented reconciliation support
- Assist with internal controls and accounting process improvements
- Support audit requests related to balance sheet accounts, fixed assets, and leases
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- 1–2 years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry)
- Strong understanding of balance sheet mechanics and journal entries
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, reconciliation models)
- High attention to detail and strong follow‑through
- Experience with Concur Invoice
- Exposure to fixed asset and/or lease accounting
- Manufacturing, operations, or multi‑entity experience
Compensation: $75,000 – $85,000 per year
