Tax Manager Responsibilities

As a Tax Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead and develop a team while providing outstanding customer service to our clients. If you have strong technical skills and are in a managerial or supervisory role in tax compliance, quality assurance, and tax planning to a diversified, closely held client base, we'd love to talk with you!

• Managing our tax department in tax compliance, and tax provision to pass-through and C-corporation entities with an emphasis on manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, and professional services. We deal primarily with closely held, entrepreneurial companies and their owners.
• Quality assurance on entity and individual tax returns
• Helping to develop, build and manage client relationships
• Assisting with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff
• Manage, in team environment, the work flow of product through the tax department
• 8 years or more of relevant progressive experience in public accounting tax including technical tax compliance, planning & projections and research
• Bachelor's degree in accounting; MST a plus
• CPA certification (EA considered)
• Strong computer skills, CCH Axcess, RIA Checkpoint, Quickbooks experience a plus Soft Skills
• Experience managing multiple client engagements
• A strong sense of ownership for delivering outstanding client service
• Excellent supervisory, team building, and time management skills

This position is in our San Jose office; we are open to a hybrid in office / remote arrangement. Salary - To be discussed depending on experience.
