Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic objectives, assess capacity status, and identify constraints and growth needs to support corporate goals.
- Manage and oversee the capital expenditure budgeting process and ensure expenditures align with budget guidelines.
- Lead and execute continuous improvement projects aimed at increasing labor efficiency, improving yield, and reducing waste and scrap.
- Collaborate with vendors to secure adequate equipment capacity in anticipation of future demand and production needs.
- Mentor and manage the Manufacturing Engineering team, fostering talent development, ensuring productivity, and enhancing equipment reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering; an MBA or advanced technical degree is a plus.
- 15+ years of leadership experience in an engineering role within a manufacturing or process environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Access, Mini Tab, Smartsheet, CAD software, and SAP (preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and chemical systems used in industrial environments.
- Knowledge of capital justification, procurement, installation processes, and preventive maintenance best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement process analysis tools to evaluate capacity needs and align with corporate goals.
- Ability to implement process improvements aimed at driving cost efficiencies and reducing operational expenses.
- Skilled in eliminating waste of raw materials, utilities, staffing, and other resources to enhance operational efficiency.
- Experience coordinating with R&D and Sales to introduce new equipment and processes for innovative projects.
- Strong interpersonal and mentoring skills to guide engineering teams and other personnel in navigating company policies and procedures.
