Uber is looking for highly motivated individuals to join our US & Canada Earner Operations team. On the Earner Ops team, we grow our driver base to meet business needs, improving the experience for drivers who use our platform, and streamlining processes, so drivers are able to easily access and earn on the Uber Platform.
The ideal candidate will excel at solving complex problems, managing multiple work streams and engaging with stakeholders so as to deliver on key business goals that unlock sustainable growth and improve real world outcomes for drivers.
What the Candidate Will Need / Bonus Points
Lead initiatives/programs to grow our driver base and improve the driver experienceLead driver-related reporting, metrics monitoring, and city-/cohort- level insightsCollaborate with cross-functional partners to share driver insights, inform planning/priorities, and co-build solutions that benefit our drivers and our businessBuild, maintain, and communicate detailed reporting and analysis on key business challengesIdentify and implement improvements to operational processesPresent models, findings, and insights to senior management to aid decision makingExamples of Things You Could Work On
Build analytical models to understand driver behaviorDevelop focused strategies for different types of earners, such as new drivers, tenured drivers, churned drivers, etc. and bring them to lifeAdvocate for and deploy budgets & monitor/track spend to make recommendations related to the design and implementation of new driver incentivesLead driver focus groups to collect insights to advise product improvementsRun weekly reporting to C-Suite leadership on the state of our driver base and areas of opportunityExperiment with new incentives or communications to drivers in partnership with other teams to drive growth on our platformDeeply understand the individual driver P&L - monitor costs for drivers and work with Business Development to secure partnerships to target these costsCollaborate with Product and Compliance teams to streamline (or automate) driver sign-up processesWork with cross-functional stakeholders to unlock and improve platform access for different gigs (i.e., UberX, Eats, etc.)Basic Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years experience Senior Strategic Operations Manager positionA strong problem-solver with experience using data to drive decisions, with excellent Excel /data management skillsPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferredSQL skills strongly preferredExperience in strategy, operations, and program managementPast experience working with cross-functional teamsSome high-growth operations, tech, or startup experience is strongly preferred.A passion for Uber’s business and, most meaningfully, earners on its platformOutstanding communication and project management skills, including a history of cross-functional teamwork and leading projects that deliver resultsExperience taking initiative in a constantly changing work environment; resilience to overcome challenges and deliver during fluid conditionsSelf-motivated individual that works well independently and possesses strong organization and time management skillsFor Chicago, IL-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $118,000 per year - USD $131,000 per year.
For New York, NY-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,500 per year.
For San Francisco, CA-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,500 per year.
For Seattle, WA-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $118,000 per year - USD $131,000 per year.
For Washington, DC-based roles:
The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,500 per year.
