DescriptionAt United, we fly into airports around the entire world. We need a dedicated team to keep operations running smoothly! From exceptional service at check-in to managing baggage behind the scenes, our Airport Operations team ensures seamless airport functions daily.
Job overview and responsibilitiesThe Manager – Station Operations Center oversees daily operations at the station operations center (SOC).
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate future flight planning activities with Network Planning, Government Agencies, and Local Stakeholders to support schedule adjustments.
- Manage gate usage, airport infrastructure, and support for growth and expansion planning.
- Forecast challenges and communicate strategies to meet station and enterprise goals.
- Monitor and report on operational performance metrics related to customer service, DOT performance, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with NOC to address system and local issues impacting safety, security, and operations.
- Resolve critical operational issues involving departments, service providers, or government agencies; escalate as needed.
- Manage IRROPs planning and communication with senior leadership.
- Staff and lead Operations Control Managers and Supervisors.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the SOC team and hub organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or related airline operational experience;
High School diploma or GED required. - Proven decision-making, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of operations, logistics, and technology.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proactive management style and problem-solving abilities.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
- Successful interview completion required.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.

- Experience with operational programs like Inform Real Time Stands, Unimatic, IOM.
- Knowledge of FAA and ATC procedures.
The base pay range is $99,750 - $129,924, dependent on experience, education, and skills. The role may include bonuses and incentives.
