The Lifeguard works under direct supervision of the Aquatics Manager and is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of the Aquatics unit, which include customer service, patron safety, pool maintenance, emergency procedures/evacuations, and daily safety checks of the swimming pools, and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities and
Qualifications:
- Graduation from high school or a General Education Diploma, possession of an American Red Cross Advanced Life Saving Certificate, possession of a Water Safety Instructor's Certificate, and possession of a current Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation Certificate; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
- American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED Certificate (active or obtained by start date)
Preferred Qualifications:
- American Red Cross First Aid for Public Safety Personnel (Title 22) (active or obtained within 1 year of hire)
