Thunder Compute is the lowest‑cost, easiest GPU cloud for developers. We’re a 4‑person team with $4.5M raised from top‑tier investors including Y Combinator. Our platform lets customers rent GPUs like Core Weave, Lambda, or AWS, while our virtualization software delivers up to 3× more efficient GPU utilization, giving the cloud higher margins without additional Cap Ex.

As a cloud infrastructure engineer, you will work on the GoLang backbone for our cloud platform. Your days will involve solving customer problems, building resilient, stable production infrastructure, and owning broad scope across the platform. The role is fast‑paced and expects rapid learning from day one.

• Maintain and expand the GoLang‑based infrastructure that powers our cloud platform.
• Work with our unconventional Kubernetes deployment used as a hypervisor, developing Go scripts for controls and auxiliary services (storage, billing, networking).
• Own production systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate with customers to diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues quickly.

• Proficiency in GoLang; some Python and Next.js experience is helpful.
• Strong Kubernetes knowledge, especially with non‑standard deployments.
• Demonstrated experience owning and operating production systems.
• Fast, detail‑oriented execution with excellent communication skills.
• Self‑driven attitude; you’ll own your work from day one.

• CS degree from a top‑50 U.S. university, 3.5+ GPA (Bachelor’s required).
• Background building high‑stakes production infrastructure for a trading firm or cloud provider.

• Full‑time position with generous salary and equity.

• Report to Co‑founder/CTO Brian (ex‑Citadel quant developer).
