Platform Engineer

We are partnering with a Series B AI startup that has raised over $250M from top-tier investors including Google and Sutter Hill Ventures. Founded by serial entrepreneurs with multiple successful exits, the company is building in the LLM-for-code space with a deliberate bet beyond the IDE.

While code completion and “next edit” tooling are becoming commoditized, this team believes the real transformation is agent‑driven automation across the entire software development lifecycle. Instead of competing in the crowded IDE market, they are building a platform focused on deep automation powered by strong context and multi‑agent systems.

They are hiring for Software Engineers of all levels to join their Platform / Systems team, bridging advanced AI research with scalable, high‑performance production systems.

You will design, build, and optimize cloud‑native infrastructure that powers global‑scale AI services. This includes building highly reliable Kubernetes‑based platforms, managing infrastructure through Terraform, and developing strong observability practices to ensure performance, reliability, and operational excellence.

• Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure supporting global AI workloads
• Build and maintain Kubernetes‑based platforms and deployment systems
• Use Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code practices to manage production environments
• Develop strong observability systems including metrics, logging, tracing, and performance monitoring
• Partner with AI research teams to product ionize Python‑based services and distributed systems
• Optimize compute and memory usage to improve efficiency and scalability
• Solve complex distributed systems challenges including concurrency and multi‑threading

• Staff‑level experience building large‑scale, cloud‑native platforms
• Strong hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern cloud environments
• Proficiency in Python and experience supporting production AI or data‑heavy systems
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and performance optimization
• Experience building highly observable, reliable infrastructure at scale
