At Zappos Tech, we're on a mission to deliver unparalleled shopping experiences to our customers. We're seeking a Front-End Engineer II (SDE2) to join our iOS Mobile team. As an FEE2 on the iOS team, you will contribute significantly to software development of the Zappos iOS app, covering the entire customer journey from Homepage to checkout—including Search, Search Results, Ads, Widgets, Recommendations, and more.

• Develop and maintain native iOS apps using XCode, Swift, Swift
  
  UI, Objective‑C, UIKit, Cloud Kit, Core Data, Core Animation, and related technologies.
• Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineers to create optimal customer experiences and influence technology choices.
• Coach and guide teammates, providing guidance and feedback to uphold high coding standards and practices.
• Solve complex problems within a well‑understood technology strategy, balancing business needs with scalable technical solutions.
• Uphold best practices, ensuring efficient problem resolution and promotion of industry‑standard practices.
• Engage in continuous learning, contributing to team strategy and fostering an inclusive, growth‑oriented environment.

Your day starts with stand‑up where you sync with your team and product managers about tasks and priorities. You’ll spend most of your time writing code—building and testing new features, fixing issues, and improving app performance. Code reviews are a regular part of your routine, and you’ll regularly use AI tooling in day‑to‑day development tasks. You may also research new iOS frameworks or tools, write technical documentation for complex features, or collaborate closely with teammates on challenging problems.

Some days are deep‑focus feature development; others involve mentoring or investigating production issues. The work varies but always centers on making the iOS app better for our customers.

You'll join a tight‑knit mobile team of iOS and Android developers who take ownership of the entire customer experience in our app. The team values transparency, continuous learning, and initiative, working closely with product managers and backend engineers. Here, you’ll have the freedom to propose solutions, experiment with new approaches, and help improve the Zappos customer experience.

• Experience with common front‑end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, Type Script, and Node.

The base salary range for this position is listed above. Your package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
