About Air Ops

Air Ops is the first end-to-end content engineering platform built for the AI era. In a world where discovery is shifting from traditional search to AI-driven platforms, we help brands get found—and stay found. We are currently in a phase of hyper-growth, having 5x’d our revenue in the last year by helping marketing teams at Ramp, Chime, Carta, and Rippling turn content quality into a durable competitive advantage.

Our platform equips marketers to navigate the new discovery landscape, prioritize high-impact opportunities, and create accurate, on-brand content that earns citations from AI and trust from humans. Backed by Greylock, Unusual Ventures, Wing VC, and Founder Collective, we are building the intelligent systems that will empower the next generation of marketing leaders. Air Ops is headquartered in San Francisco, New York and Montevideo.

About the Role

As a Senior Software Engineer at Air Ops, you’ll help design and deliver core features across our AI-powered platform. You’ll work across the stack—from crafting backend services in Ruby on Rails to building intuitive, performant interfaces with React.

In particular, this role will take ownership of a key initiative to expand and improve our integrations framework—making it easier for users to connect to the tools they already use and enabling new, powerful workflows. You’ll work closely with Product and CX to understand needs, prioritize capabilities, and deliver seamless, reliable integrations.

We’re looking for engineers who thrive in fast-paced environments, take pride in building high-quality products, and are motivated by the opportunity to make meaningful contributions in a collaborative and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack features across the Air Ops platform
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define technical solutions that meet user and business needs
  • Write clean, scalable, and well-tested code in both frontend and backend systems
  • Review code, mentor teammates, and help uphold engineering best practices
  • Own and improve key parts of the application—from performance to architecture
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in AI, data, and web technologies
  • Contribute to a strong culture of experimentation, iteration, and shipping fast
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience building production-ready software across the stack
  • Proficiency in Ruby on Rails
  • Solid experience working with React
  • Experience with modern web development tools (e.g., Type Script, Tailwind, Webpack, Postgre

    SQL, Redis)
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and system design principles
  • Experience building or maintaining third-party integrations is a plus
  • Product-minded: able to balance engineering quality with pragmatic trade-offs to move fast
  • Interest in or experience with Generative AI and related technologies
  • Demonstrated initiative and aptitude to make independent decisions and resolve complex challenges in a remote environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:
  • Experience working on AI/ML or LLM-based products
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud platforms (AWS, Heroku, Vercel, ECS)
  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog or Sentry
