Applied AI Software Engineer

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a highly motivated Applied AI Software Engineer to join one of our top tech clients in the Bay Area. You will be joining the “Agentic Team”, as part of the product-led growth organization. As a founding member of the Agentic Team, you will collaborate closely with a team of engineers, product managers, and marketers to develop, test, and launch revenue engines using AI and automation.

You will be responsible for taking software from ideation to deployment, often venturing into uncharted territory, developing brand-new solutions and iterating based on real-world learnings. You'll thrive by thinking outside the box, talking directly to our customers, understanding the business case for your projects, and setting the pace and breadth for engineers across the company.

Hourly expectation ranges from $58-68 based on years of experience and relevant skills.

• 2-3 years of experience as an AI Engineer
• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience building AI Agents and prompt engineering
• Well versed in AI-assisted development tools (e.g., LLMs for coding assistance, code generation) to accelerate software delivery.
• Experience with React, Typescript/Java script, HTML, CSS
• Strong Python or Java (ideally both)
• Third-party API integration
• Experience with public cloud (Azure or AWS)
• Excellent problem solving and communication skills
• Has gone “zero to one” in a fast paced environment
• Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and tool sets
• A product mindset, with a focus on understanding customer problems and iterating on solution
