Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer for our client, a world‑class AI infrastructure solutions company in San Francisco.

This is a full‑time, direct hire position with a hybrid schedule in San Francisco.

Position Overview

You will develop, optimize, and automate tools for asset management, deployment, and operational insights, enabling our client to maintain industry‑leading performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data‑center infrastructure tooling, including asset management, deployment automation, and operational dashboards.

• Lead automation initiatives to enhance infrastructure resilience, efficiency, and scalability as the data‑center footprint grows.

• Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver reliable, high‑performance solutions that meet operational and engineering needs.

• Support build‑vs‑buy decisions, ensuring selection of optimal technologies for automation, monitoring, and management.

• Mentor peers, uphold best practices, and drive continuous improvement in infrastructure automation, architecture, and development workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven experience (5+ years) in building and deploying scalable, distributed systems using Go, Rust, Java, C++, or similar.

• Strong hands‑on expertise with Net Box or comparable data‑center infrastructure management tools.

• Proficiency in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), automation tools (Ansible, Terraform), and CI/CD pipelines (Git Lab, Git Hub Actions, Circle

CI).

• Deep understanding of data structures, concurrency, network programming, and Unix/Linux environments.

• Experience with data‑center tooling, DCIM concepts, and infrastructure automation.

Compensation & Benefits

This full‑time position offers an annual base salary range of $200‑250k, commensurate with experience, plus bonus potential and an equity package. The organization provides a robust benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage in addition to paid time off.
