Senior Software Engineer – Insurance Technology Platform

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help scale a next-generation insurance technology platform that is redefining risk management for commercial businesses. As a key member of our engineering team, you will work across the stack to drive innovation in data collection, automated underwriting, and policy administration systems. This is an opportunity to own significant product areas, collaborate across disciplines, and help shape both our technology and our culture as we grow.

What You’ll Do

• Architect, build, and maintain core systems spanning data collection, automated underwriting, and policy administration.

• Own large product verticals, taking features from conception through launch and iteration.

• Collaborate closely with product management, design, and insurance domain experts (underwriters, actuaries, and more) to deliver high-impact solutions.

• Ship high-quality code daily, balancing speed with maintainability and scalability.

• Mentor and support the growth of other engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

• Contribute to company culture, processes, and technical direction as we expand into new industry verticals.

Who You Are

• 4–6 years of experience as a fullstack software engineer at fast-growing startups or as a founding engineer.

• Proven track record of shipping high-quality products daily in dynamic, high-ownership environments.

• Experience working in Insur Tech, insurance, construction technology, or underwriting systems is highly valued.

• Comfortable wearing multiple hats—engineering, product management, and design—to solve complex problems.

• Passionate about mentoring others and contributing to a positive, growth-oriented team culture.

Technical Requirements

• Backend:
Node.js, Type Script, Postgres, Redis, and Graph

QL APIs.

• Frontend:
React, Next.js, Type Script, and Graph

QL.

• Experience with automated underwriting, data-driven risk assessment, or policy administration systems is a plus.
