Senior Software Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join the Applied Engineering team in our partnering AI Startup in San Francisco Bay Area. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing innovative applications powered by large language models (LLMs). Your responsibilities will include architecting and developing full-stack solutions that advance the capabilities of AI-assisted development. If you are not hired by this role, we will also add you to the Star Plan Talent Pool and continuously match you with other suitable roles by Star Plan AI System.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop full-stack web applications, integrating LLM capabilities into production systems.

• Construct robust, scalable APIs and services utilizing modern Type Script frameworks.

• Architect database schemas and optimize query performance for intricate data workflows.

• Collaborate with product and AI teams to translate LLM capabilities into user-facing features.

• Produce clean, maintainable code, adhering to AI-assisted development tools and best practices.

• Implement industry best practices for prompt engineering and LLM integration patterns.

• Actively participate in code reviews and contribute to the establishment of engineering standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Languages & Frameworks:
Expert-level proficiency in Type Script, significant experience with the Hono framework or a similar API framework.

• Database:
Production-level experience with Postgre

SQL and Drizzle ORM.

• Full-Stack Development:
Demonstrated ability to build and deploy complete web applications.

• LLM Integration:
Hands‑on experience with the integration and development alongside LLMs (e.g., Claude, GPT).

• API Design:
Proven experience in RESTful API design and implementation.

• Version Control:
Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with prompt engineering and LLM application patterns.

• Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search implementations.

• Familiarity with streaming responses and real‑time data handling.

• Experience with React or other modern frontend frameworks.

• Understanding of AI safety and responsible AI practices.
