We are looking for an exceptional Staff Engineer to build the next generation of our Identity Platform. You will set the long‑term vision, architecture, and technical roadmap for the platform and lead cross‑functional teams to deliver critical tier‑0 services with high availability and uptime.

• Provide technical leadership for the architecture, ensuring highly secure, scalable, reliable, and performant systems that meet the needs of hundreds of millions of developers.
• Identify dependencies and review key designs to maintain consistency with our overall architecture.
• Lead the team to deliver on multiple projects in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Build an operational center of excellence with observability, scalability, and quality focus.
• Hands‑on engineering and lead by example.
• Prioritize and build the roadmap in partnership with senior engineering managers and product leaders.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align on goals, drive engineering initiatives, and create broad organizational impact.
• Mentor senior engineers and build the next level of engineering leadership.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of engineering experience building end‑to‑end back‑end services.
• Strong experience with identity‑management standards (SAML, SCIM, SSO, OAuth, FIDO).
• Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional projects with meaningful business impact.
• Exceptional problem‑solving, design, and analytical skills.
• Proven ability to design highly scalable systems.
• Sense of humor.

This role is based in the greater San Francisco area. The estimated salary range is $245,250 – $300,000, plus a competitive equity package. Actual compensation is based on the candidate’s skills, qualifications, and experience.
