We're building a next-generation consumer finance app for emerging markets, in partnership with major distribution players. Our platform combines a virtual bank and cryptocurrency wallet, enabling users across the globe to move seamlessly within a single financial ecosystem.

We're seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to lead core backend development. You'll design and scale the systems that power our iOS, Android, and Web applications, including:

Integrations with cryptocurrency wallets and banking service providers.

Critical services for authentication, ledgering, and payment rails.

Building a secure and highly reliable platform for real-money transactions at international scale.

Our early stack will likely be a Python (FastAPI/Pydantic) monolith with Postgres and Redis on AWS, with opportunities to introduce Go and/or Rust for services requiring higher performance or concurrency.

This role is critical You'll work directly with technical founders to define engineering standards, shape architecture, and build a high-performance backend from the ground up. As we scale, this role has the potential to evolve into a backend lead or broader engineering leadership role.
