Compensation: $200,000–$250,000

We’re looking for a hard-core individual contributor who wants to build. This is not a management role. If you love being in the weeds, obsess over system design, and take pride in shipping clean, real software fast — this role is for you.

We move quickly and expect engineers to use modern AI tools (like Claude) to build 3x faster than was possible a year ago — without producing low-quality “AI slop.” Quality and taste matter here.

• Design and build core systems from scratch.
• Own features end-to-end: architecture → implementation → production.
• Use AI-assisted coding to dramatically increase velocity while maintaining a high bar.
• Make pragmatic system design decisions in a fast-changing environment.
• Work closely with founders and other senior engineers to ship product quickly.

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Excellent system design skills and architectural judgment.
• Strong IC mindset — zero interest in people management.
• Loves deep technical work and solving hard problems.
• Skilled at using AI coding tools effectively (Claude, etc.).
• High standards for code quality.
• Based in SF or willing to relocate.
