Summary:

Meet is hiring a hands‑on engineering manager to guide a small software team building a production‑ready application for a medical device. This role balances people leadership with direct technical contribution and plays a key role in taking regulated technology from concept through commercial release. You’ll help define how software is built, reviewed, documented, and delivered in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and support a compact engineering team, providing clear direction, feedback, and growth opportunities
• Balance people management with individual technical contribution across core software components
• Oversee planning and execution of features across desktop software, connected devices, and backend services
• Drive design discussions, architecture decisions, and code reviews to ensure maintainability and reliability
• Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to align engineering work with quality, compliance, and product needs
• Establish lightweight but effective development processes suitable for a regulated product environment
• Ensure engineering outputs are well‑documented and audit‑ready where required

Qualifications:

• Experience managing small engineering teams and delivering at least one product end‑to‑end
• Background working on regulated or compliance‑driven software products
• 10+ years of experience
• Familiarity with Python, Azure, and exposure to Rust is a plus
• Startup experience or comfort working in ambiguous, evolving environments
