Responsibilities
As a Backend Software Engineer, your responsibilities include:
• Building new and exciting components/frameworks in distributed file systems.
• Developing high‑quality, production‑ready code for a cloud platform used by millions.
• Building efficient components/algorithms in a microservice, multi‑tenant SaaS cloud distributed file system environment.
• Performing code review, mentoring junior engineers, and providing technical guidance to the team.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of software development experience with mastery of programming languages and platforms.
• Strong object‑oriented programming, Java & Python, and SQL skills with relational (Postgre
SQL) and non‑relational databases.
• Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience designing and developing distributed systems at scale.
• Proficiency with queues, locks, scheduling, event‑driven architecture, and workload distribution.
• Deep understanding of software development best practices and demonstrated leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with big‑data/ML and S3, streaming technologies like Kafka.
• Experience with Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience working in a high‑paced, rapidly growing multinational organization.

Salary Range
For California‑based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $172,000 to $236,500.
